Dr. Foltz is the director of the Center for Advanced Brain Tumor Treatment at
the Swedish Neuroscience Institute. Before coming to Swedish, Dr. Foltz was an
assistant professor in the departments of Neurosurgery and Neurology at the
University of Iowa College of Medicine. He brings a strong research focus to the
Seattle Neuroscience Institute at Swedish. His research interests include
genomics and neuro-oncology with a focus on the development of novel treatments
for malignant brain tumors.
Dr. Foltz is a principal founder of Neurosurgery International, a nonprofit
educational organization for young neurosurgeons from developing countries.
